Is Dermal Filler for me?
Dermal filler is made of hyaluronic acid, which is a natural substance found in your body that gives skin its youthful look.
Filler can be used for lip, cheek and chin enhancement. Also, filler can do just that, fill in wrinkles such as nasolabial folds, marionette lines etc.
There are other uses for dermal filler, which we can discuss during your consultation!
How much does it cost?
Filler is usually priced out per syringe. At NoLa we charge $450-500 per syringe, depending on the product used. We keep our prices competitive and will often run promotions.
Always ask if there is a consultation fee, these fees can range from $50-150, which can add to cost. At NoLa our consultations are 100% free with no obligation.
How do I prepare for the procedure?
We encourage you to ask any questions. We want you to be comfortable and feel safe in our care.
Your procedure will go a little something like this:
Step 1 - Reviewing your health history and working with you to identify your goals Step 2 - Cleansing the face Step 3 - Injecting the product into the desired area(s) Step 4 - Going over post-treatment instructions
What are the possible side effects or risks associated with filler injections?
With our advanced training and medical expertise we will always do our best to minimize complications.
Complications are rare, however at NoLa we think it is very important for our clients to be fully informed.
Side effects can include pain, redness, swelling and bruising all of which should resolve with time.
Rare complications can include asymmetry, occlusion, blanching of the skin, nodules/granulomas, and inflammation.
At NoLa we will always call you to follow up on your injections to ensure that if for any reason you are unhappy or notice any complications, we can remedy them for you.
When will I start to see results?
Unlike botox, dermal filler will show immediate results. However it is important to note that swelling does also occur and will decrease 48-72 hours after injection.
How long does dermal filler last?
At NoLa we care about using the best possible product to suit your needs, this is why we have done our research and teamed up with the companies we trust the most.
Different types of dermal fillers are used for different parts of the face. Depending on the product, your past history of filler use and area of injection, dermal filler can last anywhere from 6-18 months.
Does it hurt? How long does it take?
Injecting dermal filler can be painful, this is why we provide all of our clients with a topical numbing agent that works well in minimizing this discomfort.
We are also Nurse Practitioners with a gentle touch who will do our best to make these injections as pain-free and comfortable as possible.
Our primary goal is your safety and comfort!
The whole procedure of injecting from start to finish may generally last 30 minutes. Keep in mind this does not include the consultation, cleaning of the face, allowing time for numbing cream to take effect and our post procedure instructions.
Is there a recovery time?
You can go on about your day immediately after this minimally invasive procedure.
Until any redness or swelling goes away, we do reccomend that you avoid exposure to heat (sun lamp or sun bathing).
We will also give you tips on how to minimize bruising.
Do not worry, we will give you these instructions after your procedure!
Can I get dermal filler if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?
Your safety is our priority, this is why we do not reccomend the use of dermal filler during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
